Side Note: Back in December 2019, Bud wrote me about his unit history which I very slightly edited:
Bud Exum was Dick Wolf’s Assistant Training NCO, then he went to B Company in Brooksville also as Assistant Training NCO to Dave Morris, then to Supply SGT, then the B Co Operations NCO, then down to Miami as 1SG B 1/124, finally Operations SGM of 1/124Inf. Bud went to Iraq and came home retired and went back as a contractor on terminal leave and did that until 2014. He worked with Jerry Bartlett and Eddie Pijuan several times… JoeP

We have now received word that Barry ‘Bud’ Exum passed around 3 AM this morning. At this time we do not have information on his funeral services, but will keep you informed as we receive them.
We offer our thoughts and prayers to Bud and his loved ones.
