Looking for Sponsors/Donors for SF Cruise

LOOKING FOR SPONSORS / DONORS
Message to our SFA Brothers:

As you well know we are planning an epic 2024 Global Gathering of Green Berets SF Chartered Cruise. We currently have 823 Cabins (over 1650 passengers) of the available 1,055 cabins registered so we still have a few hundred cabins left. Please continue to encourage former Teammates, Family members, and your Friends to register. Reminder, this cruise is NOT just for Green Berets, it is open to anyone in the Special Forces Association (Associate and Honorary members) and those supporting teammates that directly support SF.

We are tying to make this event as cost effective as possible and are looking to have amazing raffles, auctions, and swag for all the travelers.

Each of you have different relationships from your service or in your community that you can send the below sponsorship letter to.  We hope you will consider sending the letter to as many potential sponsors/donors as possible, even if you are not attending the cruise.

Here is the link to the: Donation Letter

For more information about the cruise, continue to follow us at:

Thanks again for all your support. Look forward to a great cruise and convention! De Oppresso Liber

SF Brothers Bob Buffington's wife Helga passed away

Passing Of Airborne Brother's Wife
Helga Buffington, wife of SFAAC Treasurer, Robert (Bob) Buffington,

I received notice from the South Florida Airborne Chapter, that our former SF Brothers Bob Buffington's wife Helga passed
away, she will be missed by everyone whose life she touched, please forward this information to your Airborne list.
RIP Helga
Bill Eades

To All Members:

It is with great sadness we have been informed that Helga Buffington, wife of SFAAC Treasurer, Robert (Bob) Buffington, passed on March 7, 2024.  Helga worked closely and tirelessly with Bob to make every event sponsored by the South Florida All Airborne Chapter a success. She assisted in events such as, but not limited to, South Florida All Airborne Days, SFAAC Annual Banquet, annual picnics, and our monthly in-person meetings.  She attended most of our meetings.  She will be missed dearly.

SFAAC extends its condolences to Bob and the Buffington family.  The following is an in-person Memorial Service arrangement that will be held on March 16, 2024, to honor the life of Helga Buffington:

Date of Memorial Service - March 16, 2024
        Time of Service - 2:00 p.m.
Place of Service - Forest Lawn Funeral and Memorial Service - Forest Lawn South
        Address - 2401 S.W. 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317 (off I-595, can see a Pyramid monument)

A Wreath is being sent on behalf of the SFAAC.  Kindly make every effort to attend and show support for Bob.  He has always been an unselfish supporter of SFAAC for years.  Also, be sure to wear your Berets.

As a result of above event, we shall not have our normally scheduled virtual monthly meeting on March 16, 2024.

Respectfully Submitted,

Peter J. Kendrick, SFAAC Secretary

Reply-To: Bonnie cooper <coop553@bellsouth.net>

The Iraq and Afghanistan War Memorial of Florida will be dedicated at noon, on Saturday, 20 April 2024.  The dedication will take place at the Veterans Memorial Park of the City of Port Saint Lucie.  This large and impressive black granite monument will honor Floridians who served in our nation's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The monument will include the names of 349 Service Members who had Florida as their home of record at time of their death, 32 of which were members of Special Operations.  We request units listed below have members of their command present at the dedication ceremony so as to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Retired and former unit members are also asked to attend.

Names were provided by the Defense Casualty Analysis System, (DCAS), and include service members that had Florida listed as their home of record at time of death.  Names and units follow:
