Since Sunday this coordinated effort has: - sent over 25 trailers to western NC - sent now 3, separate 18-wheelers and buses to western NC - Sent an estimated 87,000 pounds of supplies to western NC - Set up two forward operating bases (one Eastern side and one Western side of Asheville, NC) - Personally delivered monetary support to multiple families in Southern Florida - Signed up over 165 volunteers, with more signing up daily - Received donations through our office and trailer support, dropped off daily - Received and coordinate links for support requests coming from Western North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina - Set up an Operations Center in the SFCT conference room monitoring requests and vetting them and then sending them forward to partnering organizations and groups to carry them out. We cannot say thank you enough to the Green Berets who have supported this effort alongside of us from 3rd Special Forces Group, the U.S. JFK Warfare Center and School, United States Army Special Operations Command, National Guard, Civil Affairs, the Girl Scouts from the Fort Liberty chapter, Southern Pines Church of God 7th Day, Patriot Hunts, Parsons Brothers and Couch Oil Company, along with sooooo many others. We are so grateful! But our work is not done. We are still working diligently to get support to those Special Forces families that are located in these communities.
