Hello Members and Friends of the Association,

We have decided to cancel the chapter meeting currently scheduled for September 28^th at American Legion Post 31 until a later date, due to the passing of chapter member Bob Buffington and for those who may be attending his services in Vero Beach on that date.

 

We do not have another date established at this time.  There are a number of conflicts in coming weeks that preclude an answer as of this writing.

Hello All,

Sadly I am writing to you about the passing of Robert "Bob" Buffington, I received notice he made his last formation 

on Wednesday 4 September 2024, Bob was a Veteran and proud member of the Special Forces & 82nd. Airborne South 

Florida All Airborne chapter.

Details on services will be sent when I receive the information, he was a loyal friend, loved & respected by everyone who 

knew or served with Bob, he will be greatly missed, please keep his family in your prayers as he enters heaven.

Brothers:  I just came back from our in-depth pre-cruise planning for the Global Gathering of Green Berets, and it is going to be truly a unique experience that you don’t want to miss!

 

That said, some GOOD NEWS!  We still have some interior rooms that have been “packaged” to include port fees, pre-registration and SFA Convention activities - all for $1,570 for (2) people!!!

 

If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity, please let me know and I will get you started and “onboard” with just a few clicks of the cursor.  If you would rather to it over the phone, give me a holler and we’ll get you hooked up with one phone call.

In case you’ve forgotten, the sail away date is Saturday, October 19^th with a return to port on the morning of Thursday, October 24^th.

 

UPDATE:  Gary Sinise and the “Lt. Dan Band” will be performing a (2) hour concert before we sail off to Bimini and Nassau.  He will also be onboard to meet and talk with your fellow Green Berets.

Hello All,

Sadly I am writing to you about the passing of a good friend and past President of the 82 Airborne South Florida 

All Airborne Chapter Irving Weinsoff 90, we received notice from Avi Mizrache, who said Irv passed away earlier this 

morning August 15, 2024.

The funeral will be this Sunday,  August 18, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Mount Nebo Cemetery in Kendall. (See attached

Irving was a loyal friend, loved & respected by everyone who knew him, he will be greatly missed, please keep his 

family in your prayers!
